Wood Processing
Ruukki's Wood Processing operations are divided into three areas: sawmills, pallet business and house building. The business operations are currently located in Finland. In the sawmill business, the Group's products are sold also to the export markets.
Ruukki Group has a diversified mechanical wood processing business with production facilities located in the northern part of Finland. The Group utilises coniferous wood, i.e. pine and spruce, in its operations with the ultimate aim to achieve the highest degree of processing at optimum cost and efficiency. Ruukki’s Wood Processing operations are to some extent integrated with each other.
The house building business delivers its wood-framed ready-to-move-in houses to Finnish households whereas the sawmill subsidiaries sell to both domestic markets as well as export markets such as Japan and Mediterranean countries.
