Overview
Ruukki Group is an industrial group focusing on economically profitable and efficient processing of natural resources in minerals and wood processing businesses. The products of the Group are sold globally taking into account the specific features of each end-product market.
The company was first established in 1985 and five years later it was listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. During the past years the company has evolved quite fast due to a number of strategic changes. These range from initially concentrating on minority stakes in ICT companies, and to the majority stakes in industrial businesses, with emphasis on wood processing, and then moving to the company’s current structure with two main business areas: Minerals and Wood Processing.
Consolidated Group revenue for the continuing operations totalled EUR 54.4 million for the first half of 2010 and EUR 193.4 million in 2009.
